No! Illinois is a direct access state, meaning you can see a physical therapist without a doctor’s referral.

Revive Pelvic Therapy is an out-of-network or “fee-for-service” provider. We have intentionally chosen not to take insurance for several reasons. However we will provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance.
1) Being out of network allows your therapist to dedicate focused, one-on-one time to you. Every session is spent entirely with your personal Doctor of Physical Therapy and Women's & Pelvic Health Clinical Specialist. You’ll never be passed off to another therapist unfamiliar with your story or an aide unable to address your unique needs. No generic, cookie-cutter exercises here. From your first session to your last, you'll experience consistent care with Dr. Sheth, who treats your whole body—not just your diagnosis.
2) You’ll experience faster relief and a more efficient healing process. In many hospital-based or standard outpatient clinics, long wait times for initial visits are common, especially with pelvic health PTs, who are often in short supply. Follow-up sessions may be delayed due to insurance approvals or the therapist's limited availability, as they are frequently required to see a high volume of patients with reduced treatment times.
3) By being out of network, you and your therapist have full control over your care. You can schedule sessions as often as every 1-2 weeks, ensuring consistent progress toward your goals without unnecessary delays or gaps in treatment. This approach helps you achieve long-lasting results more effectively.

Everyone is unique, so the number of sessions needed depends on factors like how long the issue has been present and your individual goals. Many patients notice symptom improvements within the first 1-2 sessions, while 4-6 sessions are often enough to achieve relief. For longer-standing issues, 8-12 sessions may be more realistic to reduce pain, address the root cause, and develop a plan to prevent symptoms from recurring.

Yes, almost always! Dr. Sheth is a skilled manual therapist, and uses hands-on techniques frequently including cupping, dry needling, soft tissue mobilization, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, and visceral manipulation to ease muscular tension, release fascial restrictions, and improve mobility of your tissues to decrease pain and improve function.
-
Absolutely not! Pelvic floor physical therapy goes beyond just the pelvic floor. During an evaluation, we assess how your hips and back move, how you perform functional tasks like squatting or lifting, and what’s happening with your abdomen. We also discuss habits and behaviors that may affect your overall function.
While an internal pelvic exam can provide helpful insights, it is never required. You are in complete control of your body, and your preferences are always respected. You can even change your mind at any time. Regardless, you can still gain significant benefits from pelvic floor physical therapy.

Yes! We understand it might be hard to leave your house with a newborn or find babysitting, so we will come to you. We will bring all the equipment needed along with a portable table and all we ask for is a private area to set up.
